Tell me how you make sure your head restraint is correctly adjusted so it provides the best protection in the event of a crash
The head restraint should be adjusted so the rigid part of the head restraint is at least as high as the eye or top of the ears, and as close to the back of the head as is comfortable. N.B. Some restraints might not be adjustable.
Explain to the examiner that:
The centre of the head rest should be in a line with the centre of your head. This is approximately in line with your ears and eyes.
Ideally the headrest should be adjust so that they are tilted towards you.
Headrests in the Mini can not be tilted.
Head rests are a critical safety feature, and should be treated as such.
If anyone else has driven your car make sure that the driver's head rest is re-adjusted to the correct height for you.
